**We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Team Leader vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at a skilled professional level and help us maintain and build on the excellent quality standards we commit to.**

**The QA Team Lead role is one that starts to take on the mantle of leadership, they will have direct reports and will be responsible for the wellbeing and needs of those they support as well as ensuring that they are working on the right things at the right time and to the right level. They will be an outward face of the team and often may have to deal with more challenging situations that are more personnel based and fall outside of the aspects of day-to-day testing. However, there will still be the occasional need for them to ‘muck in’ and help with testing, guiding from the front of the charge and should be well versed enough to be able to help out on any project their team is working on.**

**What is involved**:
Oversees a team of testers to ensure that software is tested to the standard, guiding the QA team’s journey and approach.
- Organizes QA Team resource allocation supporting shifts across projects as new requirements arise and priorities change.
- Azure support and management (Dashboard management, updating work item type fields, adding in custom parameters, Housekeeping).
- Guides projects and tasks of the QA’s that report to them on a day-to-day basis.
- Manages difficult scenario decision making on behalf of QA.

Validates test plans

Leads test briefings/debrief

Partners with QA management on Test Strategy for key projects.

Using years of experience, testing skill, business knowledge and understanding of customer processes and needs to:

- Guides and supports the QA team through testing and learning,
- Guides, aids, and supports cross functional teams (e.g., Dev, Business Analysis) through wider testing approaches.
- Fields questions from wider teams (Business partners, commercial, tech support etc.) to help answer queries and guide to resolutions.

Performs Senior level QA Processes* such as providing day-to-day test support as critical projects require it with planning, testing and validation, assisting with assessment of test plans, Facilitating critical issue triage.

Partners with Development Leads to facilitate software releases.

Assuring that all release elements are ready and available.

Approving Releases out to the customers

Communicating the validation of a release to relevant parties outside of the team.

Creates, contributes to, maintains, and ratifies key business and team documentation. Including, but not limited to:

- Risk assessments, SOPs, Process documents, release records and other key Audit documentation.
- Team and software support Wikis

Supports the training and development of the team:

- Facilitates, assess, and help implement Continuous Improvements suggested by the team.
- Testing research (attending seminars, reading blogs, keeping up to date with latest trends and ideas within testing and development, report back on and absorbing lessons where appropriate.)

Performance management

Interviewing and supporting new starters/additions to the team:
- Organizing and running Interviews.
- Onboarding of new employees.
- Owning the QA Training program.
- Organizing Site Visits.

Supporting the training and development of the QA members that directly report to them.- Facilitating Employee Objectives, Setting and tracking of progression (GPS ownership).
- Supporting Direct report HR functions. (PTO, Sickness etc.).

Feeding back to the QA team and helping their personal

Supporting the wellbeing of the testers that directly report to them:
- Performing regular 1-2-1’s with their direct reports to ensure they are supported.
- Being a champion of staff Mental Health within the QA Team.
- Supporting and guiding people to resources when needed.

**Required Experience**:

- Five years software testing experience preferably in a health care solutions environment. Ideally at a senior level for appropriate length of time.
- Leadership experience (1 year)
- Excellent Interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Keen eye for detail.
- A mindset of inquisitiveness, tenacity and problem solving.
- Competent in the use of Azure Dev Ops would be beneficial.
- Good SQL understanding
- Good working knowledge of testing APIs
- Able to prioritise work and tasks under pressure.
