We are looking for a number of Claims Negotiators to join our TPPD department. You will process new and existing claims through negotiation with all interested parties in order to achieve settlement. We are open to individuals with or without claims experienceas we have a number of roles available at various levels.
We are passionate about providing ongoing work-life balance and therefore open to flexible working options. You will be based at either of our office locations (Bexhill-on-Sea or Leicester) combined with homeworking.
**What will you be doing?**
- Communicating via phone (inbound/outbound) and written correspondence with policy holder, keeping them updated at all times and bring about resolution of claim
- Validating any claims ensuring the policy is operational
- Realistic inputting and updating of claims reserves
- Making effective use of diary system in order to maintain a proactive approach to claims handling
- Ensuring each claim is dealt with in line with company and department procedures and philosophy and within service standards through to settlement stage
- Necessary claims data input work as required
- Interface with relevant claims units and departments
- Handling scheme claims within agreed terms and notifying scheme insurer where required
- Maintaining portfolio by handling telephone calls, incoming correspondence and diary management to ensure case is up to date
- Making payments in respect of repair accounts, hire accounts, settlement figures, solicitors costs, agents fees etc.
- Investigating and making decisions on liability (admitting, disputing or negotiating split settlements)
- Instructing and liaising with appointed agents for foreign claims
- To identify and refer suspected fraudulent claims to the Specialist Claims Unit

**What are we looking for?**
- Previous experience in motor claims beneficial but not essential
- Background in telephony based work desirable
- Strong attention to detail and good level of computer skills (Microsoft/Databases)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
