Birmingham’s Out of Hours service have an opportunity for 2 Specialist Practitioner AMHP’s with a minimum of 2 years relevant post qualification experience.

You will undertake assessments across Birmingham City Council area only to fulfil the statutory duties of the Local authority working with our most vulnerable citizens, whilst adhering to the relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will work as part of a supportive and sociable team covering the city at night. You will be reliable, committed, have an excellent understanding of the law and related legislation You will work with autonomy and limited supervision, demonstrating a significant level of confidence and specialist skills required when working at night within and diverse city. Time and a third will be paid for unsociable hours from 8pm-6am, including weekends across a rotating shift pattern.

You will undertake assessments across Birmingham City Council area only to fulfil the statutory duties of the Local authority working with our most vulnerable citizens, whilst adhering to the relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will work as part of a supportive and sociable team covering the city at night including Adult Social Workers, Social Care Practitioners and managers alongside a range of partners.

You will be reliable, committed, have an excellent understanding of the law and related legislation You will work with autonomy and limited supervision, demonstrating a significant level of confidence and specialist skills required when working at night within and diverse city. Time and a third will be paid for unsociable hours from 8pm-6am, including weekends across a rotating shift pattern.

Health and safety is a key factor in our service model, and you will be required to adhere closely to the arrangements we have in place as a team.
