Financial Controller

_This role is based 2 days in the office (Solihull) / 3 days from home._
**Financial Controller** required for a PLC based in Solihull, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a sizeable professional services firm in a lead reporting role. This position will see you facing numerous departments aroundthe group, and can present a natural segue into business partnering.
As the **Financial Controller**, you will be responsible for:
- Production of statutory accounts for all UK entities in line with group requirements
- Production of monthly management information for UK entities, and their consolidation for group reporting
- Working on process improvements for the new ERP system
- Acting as the central point of contact for external auditors and year end accounting queries
- Spearheading the controls function, working with numerous departments and other finance team members to ensure accounts are produced in line with current standards
- Monitoring risk, assurance and controls across the financial reporting team
- Business partnering with finance and the wider business to understand requirements from the finance team, and implementing new reporting/BI tools to cater for those requirements
- Completion of complex group balance sheet reconciliations for UK entities
- Maintenance of HMRC tax requirements and returns
- Team management and development, as well as recruiting new talent to build a world class financial reporting function
