As we continue to grow the business, we are looking for additional Legal Assistants to join our friendly team

**The role**:
**Duties will include**:

- Assisting Fee Earners with all aspects of conveyancing transactions;
- Liaising with clients, referrers, Solicitors and Estate Agents, via telephone, letter correspondence and face to face;
- Ensuring all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner;
- Administrative tasks including writing letters and legal documents such as contracts and preparation of bills;
- Communicate with all departments cross-selling the firms’ skills to existing clients;
- Contribution to the departments profit targets;
- Use of a Case Management System (DPS);
- Comply with standard methods of practice, ie Law Society/Lexcel/CQS/Office Manual;
- Organise daily workload and be able to respond to ever changing priorities

**Qualifications and skills required**:

- Sound education to A level and above, preferably degree level
- Highly organised and able to work for multiple client
- Accurate method of work and attention to detail
- Good numeracy skills and an understanding of accounting processes in a legal firm
- Demonstrable I.T. skills to include word, excel and outlook
- Keen to show initiative and willingness to accept instructions
- Self-Motivated and able to use initiative
- Good personable skills and a keen team player

**Experience**:

- A level or degree level (preferred)
- Previous Legal Assistant experience (desired)
- Previous administration experience required

Salary Dependent on Experience & Qualifications

Location Portsmouth Office

Job Type Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

**Salary**: From £19,000.00 per year
