Acorns Children's Hospice are now looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance Team and take responsibility for all aspects of purchase invoice recording in our finance system, IRIS Financials (Formerly PS Financials).

**About the Role**

As our Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will collate all invoices, purchase orders and credits notes to input into the ledger system and regularly post invoice/credit notes batches.

You’ll need to have great organizational skills, as you’ll manage the timing of payment runs, minimizing payments outside of this to limit additional bank charges.

You will be responsible for reviewing payment listings before payments are made to ensure accuracy and legitimacy.

You’ll take control of suppliers and work with Procurement to create and manage an approved suppliers list, archiving those suppliers that are no longer used.

You’ll answer supplier queries in a timely manner, escalating where required.

**About You**

You will have demonstrable experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, a good standard of education and ideally be AAT part qualified.

Your experience should be as Purchased Ledger Clerk, within a Purchase to Pay environment, with a good understanding of requisitioning, ordering, goods receiving, and the payment process.

You will have a passion for using your skills to benefit the Children and Families that we support.

You’ll be IT literate and have a working knowledge of accounting software packages, as well as Excel and Word.
