Mental Health & SEN TA - All ages - Berkshire - Reading
SEN Teaching Assistant required for a school in Reading - Support students with their Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties in the classroom in addition to low and complex learning abilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Psychologists or Therapists looking for experience within the SEN sector. If you can built relationships quickly, work well under pressure and can adapt to any situation then we want to hear from you.
This position is in Reading, Berkshire where you will be working in class, outside of class, group work and 1:1 support for a student who has learning needs as well as some mental health difficulties. These difficulties can be in the form of issues withbehaviour, trauma, anxiety and depression. The SEN Teaching Assistant will be responsible for ensuring no work is missed with this student and find creative and innovative ways to educate and engage the pupil when their mental health and learning needs getin the way of progression.
This role would be ideal for Psychology graduates interested in a career in education or psychology, as there will be opportunities to shadow and work alongside Educational psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists.
