**Accounts Assistant**

**Location**: Coventry, CV3 5HW.
**Salary**: £18,000 - £25,000 per annum pro rata.
**Contract**: Part time, minimum 25 hours per week, with the potential to go full time.

TaxAssist Accountants are the largest network of accountants, currently working from over 300 locations throughout the UK, and now expanding with Offices in Ireland, Australia, Canada, and the United States. We are a Times top 25 accountancy company whichis owned by the franchisees and managers.

We focus our accountancy skills specifically on small businesses and taxpayers needing a tax return in the UK. We specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings, and tax advice to small businesses. As a networkwe have 80,000 clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Personal Taxpayers.

We are seeking a dynamic assistant accountant to join our growing office based in Coventry. Potentially full time but minimum 25 hours per week with flexibility to increase in the future.

**Job Role**:

- Preparation of accounts and corporate tax returns to review stage with mínimal assistance
- Preparation of personal tax returns with assistance
- Preparation of management accounts to review stage
- Preparation of accounts of trial balance stage
- Bookkeeping including bank reconciliations and posting journals using Xero / QuickBooks
- Producing client VAT returns
- VAT reviews of client prepared returns
- CIS returns as required
- Assist with queries on payroll and pension matters
- Preparation of basic share change paperwork
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, be well organised and able to manage your own workload without supervision
- To professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals
- To attend training to further develop and maintain technical skills;
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
- Ad-hoc duties consistent with the grade as directed.
