We are an employer led construction skills provider. We are part of RE:GEN Group, a forward thinking, multifaceted regeneration specialist; a Main Contractor delivering best-in-class refurbishment, retrofit and new build solutions to social housing across the North East.

We serve the skills needs of RE:GEN Group, the Group’s social housing client base and the Group’s wider supply chain by providing upskilling, reskilling and new skilling within the construction industry. We collaborate with employers to:

- Upskill existing employees.
- Provide opportunities for new people to come into the industry.
- Develop and provide a solution to the skills shortage the industry has.

We take an employer-led approach to the design and delivery of our skills programmes. This means that every employer we work with has the ability to make the programmes as personalised to their business as they need. We take a place-based approach though our engagement with learners, progressing learners through an employment journey, with a real focus on achieving a positive employment outcome for the individual.

The Employer Engagement Officer plays a key role as part of our bespoke, employer led skills provision with a true focus on providing skills, inclusion and growth within the social housing refurbishment and retrofit industry.

The Employer Engagement Officer is responsible for nurturing and enhancing relationships with employers, partners and stakeholders to identify the skills and employment needs across RE:GEN Group, our supply chain and the social housing refurbishment and retrofit industry. The Employer

Engagement Officer will be responsible for working with the full team as well as the wider Group to understand the skills needs of a range of employers, including across the Group and its supply chain, promoting our employer-led skills provision to bring new entrants into the industry as well as upskill existing employees.

The Employer Engagement Officer will be responsible for working with each employer to understand their training needs in relation to their immediate and future workload demands (including employment opportunities and upskilling requirements), helping to design the training provision to ensure it meets the employer’s needs, and working with employers to support progression of learners into employment.

**Essential Skills**
- An appreciation of the skills gap and skills provision required to meet the social housing refurbishment and retrofit targets.
- Curious in approach and a willingness to collaboratively develop bespoke solutions to employer and industry need.
- Methodical in approach, following compliance processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident to build and maintain relationships through a variety of methods, including attendance at industry forums, networking events and through the Group’s relationship with the supply chain.
- The ability to manage workload and prioritise.
- A good level of attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A full driving licence.

**Daily Role and Responsibilities**
- Keeping up to date with RE:GEN Group’s refurbishment and retrofit activity, including upcoming and future projects and understanding the supply chain partnerships that will be integral for delivering these works.
- Work with RE:GEN Group’s Commercial Managers, Supply Chain Manager and Social Value Coordinator to ensure we proactively offer skills provision to our supply chain working across RE:GEN Group’s projects.
- Act as the direct point of contact for all employers, including RE:GEN Group’s full supply chain.
- Screen all potential employers and perform a Training Needs Analysis.
- Maintain close communication with all employers, including providing information and requesting information to allow the bespoke skills provision to be developed.
- Work diligently to ensure commitment of employers is gained in line with the skills provision requirements, such as funding requirements, key delivery dates, specific employer obligations, etc.
- Liaise closely with the Learner Engagement Officers to ensure you provide information that is required for the engagement of learners.
- Liaise closely with the Tutors to allow the bespoke skills provision to be developed.
- Working with our in-house marketing team to effectively communicate and promote our unique provision along with how we work as an employer-led skills provider.
- Develop a network of contacts and build long-term relationships with clients, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders.
