**The Company**: TW Dogs is a small vibrant team in our ninth year of business. We are known for the great care we take with our members and their lovely dogs. We believe in a work life balance - you will always be home in time for dinner

**The Position**: We are looking for a Dog Day Care Assistant & Driver to start with us FOUR DAYS a week on a fixed schedule of 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday.

You must be passionate about dogs, their welfare and their enrichment. You will also be an efficient, confident, considerate driver with knowledge of Hampton and its surrounding areas or be able to pick up driving routes quickly.

This Role consists of covering one of our collection routes; you will be responsible for driving a route and collecting dogs from their homes in the morning and bringing them to our private paddocks, then dropping them home in the afternoon. At the paddocks you will be working with the dogs each day; interacting with them, supervising playtime, and ultimately enriching their day You will also be responsible for washing dogs, as well as helping to keep our paddocks clean and tidy amongst other duties.

The successful applicant must be passionate about all elements of canine care, be physically fit, have excellent communication skills, be honest and trustworthy and calm under pressure. You must have a valid manual UK driving license and be comfortable driving a mid sized or large van (SWB VW Transporter). Whilst professional experience working with dogs is preferred, it's also fine if you are starting out in this industry. Enthusiasm for animal care and determination to learn is what we look for

It is essential that you are comfortable dealing with a large group of excited and playful dogs You must be able to think fast and remain calm in any situation to ensure the safety of all of the dogs at all times. Within our paddocks, our staff to dog ratio is usually around 1:8 and you will be part of a team working together each day. You should also be happy working in any weather and not mind getting dirty as no matter how hard it rains, the TW Dogs still need to be exercised and looked after throughout the day

We are looking for team members who are passionate about animal welfare and are keen to further their learning through online and practical training courses.

**Requirements**:

- Physically fit and active and love being outdoors in all weather
- An Animal Care Qualification or previous experience working with dogs is preferred.

Full clean manual UK Driving license is essential, minimum four years driving experience is preferred.

**Responsibilities**:
Collecting and dropping off the TW Dogs in our custom fitted vans. As well as:

- Exercising and interacting with dogs of all age and size, enriching their day and cleaning and drying them at the end of muddy days.
- Assisting with onsite cleaning schedules.

**The Location**: Ideally you will be based within 5 miles of our collection areas in and around Twickenham, Teddington & Hampton
