As a Carers Programme Administrator, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Commitment to Carers and Carers Leeds teams.

To deliver an effective and competent level of clerical support and consistently deliver a “client-focused” service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.

Duties and responsibilities of the post will be varied on a day to day basis and you will be expected to interact with stakeholders, partners, young people, NHS staff, and Carers Leeds staff on a regular basis.

To ensure that the voice of carers is central to the development of this work programme and to be a role model for other carers thinking about employment opportunities.

**Provide quality operational support including**:

- General office administrative duties.
- Communication and stakeholder engagement support
- Assist with marketing and social media campaigns.
- Assist with event promotion and setting up and running events, both face to face and on-line.
- Assist with presentations and development programme publications
- To deliver an effective and competent level of clerical support and consistently deliver a “client-focused” service which promotes positive and effective working relationships.

The Carers Administrator is expected to support and carry out a range of administrative, promotional and IT-related tasks that facilitate the smooth running of the Commitment to Carers programme and to Carers Leeds.

As the Carers Administrator you will support this programme, maintaining administrative procedures and record keeping systems; communicating with stakeholders and organising meetings and events. You should be able to work independently and be flexible to changing deadlines.

The Commitment to Carers team works across NHS England and NHS Improvement to: Support NHS England / NHS Improvement to engage with Sustainability Transformation Partnerships (STPs) and Integrated Care Systems (ICS) in new ways - supporting the health and care system to identify areas in which effective partnerships are already being achieved and learn from this best practice, and designing ways in which the these teams can work alongside the NHS.

To deliver reception duties by greeting visitors and dealing with initial enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to stakeholders, referring to others as appropriate.

To answer routine telephone calls, taking messages and passing on information accurately to the relevant departments/person.

To provide administrative support for events, including the coordination of attendee lists and promotional materials

To promote the image of the department, by being responsible for the general appearance of the reception office and waiting area, checking that notices and leaflets are up to date and well presented.

To ensure that all complaints, comments and suggestions are dealt with appropriately, in accordance with policy, resolving where possible and escalating to appropriate manager as required.

To ensure that general office supply levels are monitored, and stock replenished when necessary.

To work on your own initiative, whilst having a flexible/adaptable approach to deciding priority at work to meet various strict deadlines within a set of defined policies and procedures.

To be responsible for organising meetings and planning any administrative work as required.

To be involved in the support and mentoring of reception volunteers and new starters by demonstrating office systems and department requirements.

To input data onto various computerised systems accurately and in a timely manner.

To carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required.

To be aware of, and contribute to, the organisation’s business continuity management system, when required.
