**Shop Volunteer**

Do you love books, films and music? We’re looking for enthusiastic people to help price, organise and display our wide range of books, films, cds and vinyl in our shop. Create exciting and eye-catching displays, find hidden gems or just share your love of a good film with customers on the till. This is a flexible retail assistant role where you can try different roles throughout the shop.

Our shop volunteers are essential to the running of the shop - we couldn’t do it without them. Whichever retail role you choose to do, you’ll be part of a small team providing the best possible service and raising funds to help the BHF beat heartbreak forever.

Funding for researchers begins at your local charity shop. Now, more than ever, we are in urgent need of volunteers to enable us to continue our life saving research and help the 7.6 million people in the UK living with heart and circulatory diseases. This wouldn’t be possible without our fantastic volunteers.

Our team is welcoming and friendly, and we love meeting people from all walks of life.

**Typical tasks include**:

- Sharing your love of books, film or music whilst serving on the till or shop floor
- Promoting our campaigns to customers
- Keeping the shop re-stocked, tidy and well-organised - some light housekeeping
- Helping sort donations in the stock room, cleaning, recycling, ordering and pricing donations out the back - pick a specialism or be an all-round helper
- Working on window and/or shop displays - getting creative alongside the Manager

By 2030, we want to see advances across the spectrum of heart and circulatory diseases; to prevent these conditions from developing and we want those with existing conditions to have better, longer lives.
