**About the role**
We are looking for a** 'Older Persons Team Leader'** on a permanent basis**to join our Specialist Living team.
This role is home based but will require the post holder to be able to attend offices for meetings and team events as and when required.
The purpose of the role is to have operational responsibility for the delivery of sheltered housing across our organisation, managing through an integrated approach that helps make a positive difference to this customer group.
The role will have a specific focus to work with our older and vulnerable customers, supporting them with assisted technology and digital inclusion.
**A Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own car is required for this role.**
**Key responsibilities**:
**Policy and Procedures**
- Support the development and reviews of policy and procedures for the delivery of sheltered housing and older people across the organisation ensuring that operational standards and best practice are adhered to.
**Service Delivery**
- Manage a team of dispersed scheme mangers across the organisation ensuring that the specific needs of older people in both general needs and sheltered accommodation can be met. Embedding the vision and vales of Onward through effective communication with the team.
**Be the lead for Digital Inclusion and assistive technology**
- Work proactively to promote digital inclusion to increase independence, reduce social isolation, and improve wellbeing and support networks for older customers across all tenures.
Be the go-to person for assistive technology, increasing the use of technology to deliver the older people’s offer, ensuring all training requirements are met.
**Integrated approach**
- Work closely with the neighbourhood teams to ensure older people’s services are part of neighbourhood plans and share information of any legislative changes that may affect the neighbourhood metric information.
**Neighbourhoods**
- Support the neighbourhood teams in allocations and lettings for all voids. Supporting each scheme manager to improve the performance of voids and allocations for all older customers across the organisation ensuring that KPIs and objectives are met.
**Partnership Working**
- Maintain a network of external partnerships, including assisted technology and digital inclusion, that create and enhance older people’s services in specialist housing and general needs. Be an ambassador for the organisation, and an advocate for customers.
**Skills, knowledge, experience and potential**
**Essential**:
- Experience of assisted technology in specialist housing.
- Experience of leading a high performing dispersed team.
- Experience of housing management regulations and compliance aspects in relation to specialist housing.
- Experience of delivering bespoke services to older persons.
- Experience of delivering high levels of customer service.
- Experience of managing risk to minimise exposure to the organisation.
- Experience of leading and developing people.
- Experience of partnership working to improve customer satisfaction.
- IT skills - Microsoft office up to an intermediate level.
**Desirable**:
- Experience of the use of assisted technology in maintaining independence for vulnerable people.
- Experience of supporting customers to become digitally included.
- Experience of managing teams within the care sector.
**Qualifications**:
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent qualification / experience
