Salary (Grade 2) - **£**13.11ph**

Hours**:33.75** hours per week**, then during our peak period **36 hours per week**:

- _permanent contract_

**Working Pattern**: Alternating weeks - **week one: 4 days, week two: 5 days**

Every **Saturday** worked, other days will be worked weekdays.

**Hours are 9am - 5.30pm and during our peak period 9am - 6pm.**

Location: National Museum of the Royal Navy, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

Our Welcome Hosts are the first point of contact for visitors coming into our site, and you will be part of a large, friendly and diverse team. Positioned at the entrance of our site, our welcome Hosts ensure the safety and security of all visitors, staff and property. Whilst also welcoming, directing and answering enquiries regarding ticketing and our attractions.

**What you can bring**:

- Our Welcome Hosts are there to ensure our customers feel welcomed, engaged and inspired.
- This role will be working outside in all weather conditions to greet our customers, so we welcome engaging, self-motivated colleagues who are also able to ensure a friendly whilst efficient customer arrival.
- SIA trained or willing to be trained.
- Ability to answer numerous and varied visitor enquiries - Historical and general knowledge an advantage alongside the willingness to learn.
- Moderate knowledge of Health and Safety and Security requirements and a willingness to learn more.
- Ability to deliver outstanding customer care.
- Experience of working under pressure.
- Experience of communicating and engaging with a wide and varied audience.
