Mencap is looking for a** Waking**Night Support Worker** to join our incredible team in **York**.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the people we support feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the night. You’ll be there to offer a reassuring presence, provide support with any overnight needs, and help create a peaceful environment.

Whether it’s offering a listening ear, assisting with personal care, or simply being a calm and steady presence, your support can make a world of difference.

**What we're looking for**:

- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and a calm, reassuring manner.
- A flexible approach to working overnight shifts.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

This is a 20-hour **waking night position**, typically working between **22:00-08:00 with potential opportunity for additional hours in the evening and morning (1900-0900)**.
