An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Brokerage Officer to join a Local Authority in Greater London on an interim contract basis.

As a Brokerage Officer, you’ll play a vital role in the sourcing of packages of care and placements for vulnerable adults and children.

**About the role**

As a Brokerage Officer you will be responsible for:

- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with commissioners and social care operational teams to ensure that brokerage activity meets their needs and corporate requirements.
- Considering options and resource creatively in order to ensure best value and customer cantered packages of care are successfully sourced.
- Undertaking discussions with providers around less complex negotiations, or support senior colleagues with more complex negotiations, with service providers utilising relevant tools and data in order to raise effective challenges.
- Work closely with finance and other colleagues to resolve any financial queries, reviewing records to identify issues, resolving and updating systems.

**About you**
- Ability to understand key data and information to use to inform negotiations and commercial awareness to understand impact of negotiations.
- Ability to challenge constructively and in a collaborative and respectful way to ensure successful outcomes

**What’s on offer**

Pay Rate: £16+ per hour-Depending on experience

Contract type: 3-6-month contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.

Hours: Monday - Friday 36hrs per week
