Burden Group, one of UK’s largest independent meat and poultry distributors, has an excellent opportunity in Fareham and London for an Environmental Health Officer / Food Technical Officer.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- general food and health and safety compliance reviews and inspections of facilities to assess compliance with environmental health regulations, including preparation of detailed reports on findings and recommendations;
- investigate complaints related to environmental health hazards; collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders on environmental health initiatives;
- dealing with enquiries such as answering general food and health & safety queries, and developing and implementing strategies to address environmental health issues;
- attendance and liaison work; conduct reviews of our premises, attending the premises when BRC and FSA officers are carrying out standard and unexpected visits.

**Qualifications**
- Degree in Environmental Health (or equivalent)
- Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection.
- Higher Certificate in Food Control - any BRC and/or FSA related experience or formal degree is highly appreciated.
- Basic IT skills and an awareness of food safety enforcement practices is essential.

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
