**Job Overview**

We are a family-run contemporary fine jewellery store with our own busy workshop, situated in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming shopping environment, assisting customers with their needs, and driving sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques.

**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising.
- Engage with customers to understand their preferences and provide tailored recommendations.
- Utilise upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
- Handle customer inquiries via phone and in-person with excellent phone etiquette.
- Process transactions accurately using basic math skills for cash handling.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of service.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts.

**Qualifications**
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Previous experience in retail or sales is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly work environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,000.00-£27,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week
