**Microbiology Scientist - £30,000 - £40,000 DOE + Benefits - York**
**The Role
Do you have significant hands-on laboratory experience with a strong academic foundation in microbiology and/or biotechnology? Are you detail orientated with good organizational ability? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are looking for a Microbiologist Scientist, in this role you will be responsible for ensuring the measures are in place to maintain product quality of Azotic’s microbial portfolio as well as supporting all aspects of microbiology across the product andpipeline development teams.
**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Microbiology Scientist include, but are not limited to:
- Support the quality systems to implement and manage microbial product assurance within Azotic.
- Work within a small team and help manage the day-to-day QA/QC operations of the organisation to ensure existing product batches meet expected quality standards.
- Support product/pipeline development activities such as formulation assessments, stability trials, agrichemical compatibility assays and similar microbiological activities.
- Support a continuous improvement culture within the laboratory environment.
- Provide regular updates into the Microbiology Team Lead and other senior staff.
- Supporting CMO activities as required

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Microbiology Scientist are:
- 2+ years of industry experience within a microbiological quality control/assurance/diagnostic team in a food, pharma, agronomy, diagnostics or pathology environment.
- Minimum Degree level qualification in a microbiological area such as microbiology, biotechnology or food science.
- Strong interpersonal skills, proven collaborator with ability to work independently and to integrate well within a team.
- Strong influencer with a balance or patience and persistence to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient use of computer programs (Excel, Word, Power point).
