**Current Team Information**
The Oxford Rural team offers Estate Management, Agency, Farming, Professional Valuation, and Forestry consultancy. We have a collaborative approach, and operate as part of the larger multi-disciplinary office, alongside teams delivering a range of services including planning, building surveying, and development consultancy. The local team is supported by enviable knowledge, resources and research within the national and international Savills network.
**About this role**
This is an opportunity to join a friendly and energetic Estate Management team with a diverse workload including retained management work and associated strategic consultancy, with institutional and private Estate Management and Consultancy clients.
The role is to play a key part in the delivery of fee earning and excellent client service within the Oxford Rural Management team. The work of a rural surveyor draws on a wide range of professional and technical skills and knowledge in key areas including agriculture, valuation and management of the natural environment and landscape.
Day to day work duties will include:
- Working as part of a close team, with good communication and responsibility.
- Managing existing let and in hand property and enterprises including residential, commercial, agricultural and sporting.
- Assisting with identifying and implementing opportunities to diversify and improve clients’ assets.
- Arranging and supervising compliance, maintenance and refurbishment of clients’ property portfolios.
- Assisting with the re-letting of residential, commercial, and agricultural properties, and negotiating lease renewals and rent reviews.
Our work is diverse and exciting, and our surveyors are working in rapidly changing rural land markets, with dynamic and forward thinking clients. The range of asset types and ownership structures is often diverse and we work in some of the most scenic and high value rural locations.
A driving license is essential.
**How you’ll make an impact**
Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an apprentice. You will need the ability to manage a varied workload, work as part of a team while also having the ability to use your own initiative, and be passionate about delivering the best service possible for your team and clients.

**Training**
5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled in year 4 of the undergraduate degree) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an RICS qualification.
On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.
