Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Infrastructure Operations Lead you will be responsible for delivering the Cloud IT Infrastructure vision and technology roadmap, in alignment with and conforming to the Global IT strategy and business objectives.

Management of the Global Cloud Infrastructure support teams to provide service excellence and maintain proper functioning health of the cloud hosted platforms both Azure and AWS. Collaborating on the definition of architecture standards and governance/reviewprocesses needed to support use of infrastructure standards across our technology organization

The role may require the need to work longer hours on given days and/or weekends, depending on operational needs and contingencies, (i.e. installation and testing oversight during non-peak hours).

An operational background and fundamental management experience of Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure and Amazon Web Services is required to guide and support the operational teams providing services in this area. The role will oversee Cloud InfrastructureAdministrators work performance; provide guidance on policy and procedures of operations in all key areas of the environment.

Purpose of role:

- Advocate the IT direction within the organization, at all levels, to ensure cloud infrastructure priorities are known and executed within the broader business context.
- Take ownership of architectural decisions beyond the concept and design phase - into execution and rollout to ensure they are providing the expected business value. Ensure they are operable, scalable, meet high availability requirements, are comparativelylow cost, easy to maintain and well monitored.
- Evaluate and select new and emerging cloud technologies based on business need and fit within the architecture vision and strategy.

Cloud Infrastructure
- Management and technical responsibilityfor theAzure and AWS Cloud Infrastructureincluding associated Managed Service Provider (MSP) Teams.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of operations and support troubleshooting critical cloud infrastructure issues as necessary.
- Create and maintain cloud disaster (DR) recovery documentation.
- Design, implement, and perform periodic testing of recovery plans to ensure validated environments auditor requirements are met in full.
- Create and update technical infrastructure documentation of operating procedures as needed.
- Maintain standards for installation of cloud hosted systems / infrastructure installations.
- Work to construct dynamic processes leveragingCIDC/DevOps pipelines, allowing the business to deploy at scale in an agile manner.
- Develop and pioneer the usage of new and evolving technologies to deliver business benefits.
- Leverage the scale and speed of the cloud to deliver the next generation of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
- Serve as a technical expert for managed services support groups.
- Support IT goals and objectives including measures and projects to drive operational excellence and efficiency.
- Provide hands-on problem solving leadership based on experience with the technology.
- Review domain level rights and privileges and perform changes to the same as appropriate.
- Minimum of 5+ years IT experience in delivering commercial systems
- Knowledge of PC hardware, Microsoft technologies including, but not limited to Active Directory, Exchange, O365 Exchange Online, Azure, Cloud based messaging services
- Experience in working across a global organization collaborating with different cultures.
- Hold a relevant degree or equivalent industry knowledge.
- Broad Project and People management skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL methodology and CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing Active Directory Forests and Messaging Platforms
- Expert knowledge in:,
- Cloud computing (multi cloud Azure and AWS) and services (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS)
- Cloud Storage and file storage platforms (Azure Blob/AWS Bucket)
- Cloud Backup and Recovery technologies (Cohesity and EMC)
- Data center, server and storage cloud migrations and consolidations.
- Windows and Unix operating systems
- Cloud Hosted VDI solutions: Such as AVD/WVD
- Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, Anti-virus tools and Azure Security Center)
- Familiarity with Palo Alto Cloud Networking and Cloud routing technologies.
- Preparation and maintenance of IT Systems documentation and guidelines.
