**As an Activities Coordinator at our home, your role may involve**:
- Arranging and coordinating outside entertainers.
- Leading and coordinating resident and staff parties.
- Consulting with families to determine residents' social interests, abilities, likes, and dislikes.
- Briefing all staff on new residents' history, likes, and dislikes Organizing routine activities for all residents.
- You will lead the way in developing a varied, stimulating daily activity programme, taking a hands-on approach and developing strong relationships with residents to ensure their wants, interests and needs are catered for.
- Organizing outings for the residents.
- Providing individual-specific activities to stimulate residents.
- Providing sensory activities for residents with dementia and cognitive impairment.
- Leading and coordinating birthday celebrations for residents.
- Arranging a stimulating environment for residents to enjoy their stay at Burscough Manor
- Leading and coordinating other staff to engage in activities with residents.
- Provide a variety of entertainment to residents that enriches the mind, body and soul. Examples of activities offered may include, films, music, exercise sessions, gardening, games, quizzes, arts & crafts, nail-care, trips and outings.

- Making a meaningful contribution to someone’s life is fulfilling, demanding and requires flexibility, professionalism and skills.
- Compassion, patience and positivity are just some of the key values and personal qualities required for this post, whilst a flexible approach to work is essential.
- Experience of working with an elderly client group and/or working within a care home environment would also be highly advantageous, as would the ability to cover outings or special events outside of normal working hours as required.
