**About Us**

Celino’s, a multi award winning Italian Delicatessen & Restaurant and much-loved resident of Alexandra Parade since 1982, is looking for full time deli counter assistants who have a genuine interest in food and the ability to provide excellent service.

Based in the east end, approximately 2 miles from the city centre, our deli, which operates alongside our very busy 40 seat trattoria, is packed with the very best Italian products including charcuterie, cheeses and olives. We also stock our own bread, pizza al taglio, arancini, pastries and pasta dishes.

Our focus is on providing our customers with a fantastic experience by providing the highest quality Italian food and excellent customer service in relaxed, welcoming surroundings.

**Responsibilities**:
Greet and assist customers at the deli counter with a friendly and professional manner

Cut and pack charcuterie and cheeses with precision and attention to detail

Prepare sandwiches and hot drinks, to specified standard, ensuring high-quality presentation

Provide product information and recommendations to enhance the customer experience

Communicate clearly with other team members to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience

Regularly check and restock items to maintain a well-stocked counter and shelves

Follow food hygiene and health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment

**Requirements**:
Essential
- At least 6 months experience in a food retail or hospitality environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a busy, high-pressure environment
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays as required

Preferred
- Experience of working in a delicatessen
- Strong knowledge of Italian food
- Food hygiene and safety certification

Pay: £11.50-£12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
