Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a professional and forward-thinking Operations Manager to join our team in Broxburn

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the overall site operations and the achievement of operational KPI’s in an efficient way to meet the company’s budget expectations and growth projections. You will lead and manage theoperational teams to ensure that company and customer standards and service levels are achieved.

Key Duties of an Operations Manager:

- Manage the control and performance of the operations and colleagues to ensure continuity and efficiency in line with all legal requirements and within budget
- Review daily KPI’s along with forward planning and analysis of month to date and year to date
- Work with key partners to implement robust H&S and damage reduction initiatives, as well as championing site SHEQ initiatives to assist in reducing both damage costs and incident levels
- Manage fleet requirements and driver headcounts to suit the needs of the operation
- Coach and develop reporting Managers in people management activities
- Maintain department discipline standards including conduct and performance
- Continuous review of operations to reduce operating costs and maximise revenue and profit
- Management of supplier relationships to ensure consistent service and competitive rates
- Ensure that an appropriate plan is in place to meet current legal requirements and any forthcoming changes in legislation
- Lead initiatives in terms of driver attraction, retention and return
- Participate and lead meetings with customers, retailer or suppliers as required

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience of national transport operations management in logistics
- Proven knowledge of operational management gained within FMCG industry
- Customer and supplier relationship management experience
- Knowledge surrounding cost reduction and margin improvement, as well as commercial and change management
- Proven understanding of warehouse and transport planning systems
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate
- Strong attention to detail with extensive planning and organisational skills
- Forward thinker and results driven
