As a Principal Category Manager, you will be a supply chain management and commercial leader providing expertise and professional insight in to one of the UK's largest and most strategic infrastructure investments. In collaboration with industry & government,you will be part of the programme leadership team to deliver a multi-billion-pound investment programme over the next 15 years. **Salary**:from £55,650 to £85,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience) **Location**: Reading / Basingstoke area AWE **(one of the best 25 big companies to work for in the UK)** offers an attractive array of benefits which include: - Market leading contributory pension scheme - Generous holiday entitlement **(270 hours a year including bank holidays, plus every other Friday off)** - Flexible working hours - Salary sacrifice scheme - Relocation package available (terms and conditions apply) - Hybrid working - "_**_This job role is suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station) and working from home as a personal choice.If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post. _** As Principal Category Manager, you will work with the Fissile Programme Director to embed a collaborative alliance culture, ensuring Partners are aligned to the Client mission and objectives. You will create and manage the collective incentivisation andcontract performance mechanisms to enable integrated delivery and resolve commercial barriers to productivity and performance outcomes. You will lead a small team of commercial and contract specialists, to ensure the Partners are delivering on their collective promises and milestones while mitigating the impact of commercial risks. You will chair the Alliance Commercial Board to deliverour Supplier Relationship Management strategy, while addressing commercial risks and contract disputes. You will work directly with all AWE Supply Chain Management (Capital) teams to deliver all contract and procurement management activity, while acting assingle point of contact for the Programme Director for the commercial functional activities. To be successful in this role you would need to have experience of successful delivery within an alliance or partnering contract environment. You will have high emotional intelligence, with the ability to influence senior leaders both internally and externallyto deploy promoted commercial strategies. You will have experience in delivering within a multi-billion-pound investment programmes and have keen commercial insight, with ability to interrogate data, undertake strategic option analysis and execute deploymentstrategies through matrix teams.
