Assistant Quantity Surveyor Liverpool Office base Housing developments £25-32k + car allowance + company benefits An award-winning developer have a requirement for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing business. The company specialise in New Build Housing developments across the North-West region. Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role To provide assistance to the Quantity Surveyors and Head of Commercial in the procurement, order placement and cost control of housing developments in the North West. The Assistant Quality Surveyor will also be responsible for managing their own schemes. " Raise payment certification weekly and monthly for payment of subcontractors " Discuss and agree variances deviating from the order value with subcontractors " Assist with the undertaking of a cost to complete for each site bi-monthly and report to the Prospect Management Team " Competitively tender all sub trades and superstructure trades at the beginning of development " Obtain method statements and risk assessments from subcontractors " Qualify new contractors in accordance with company requirements " Undertake other duties as and when requested by Head of Commercial Knowledge, Skills and Experience " Previous experience within the House Building Industry (desirable) " Previous experience working within the Construction Sector " Full UK driving licence " Ability to demonstrate the effective delivery of procuring subcontract works " Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets; strong estimating and financial analysis skills " Demonstrate strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel " Self-motivated with a proactive positive attitude " Excellent communication skills both written and verbal The company are offering a competitive salary (dependant on experience) with a car allowance, and additional company benefits.
