London, United Kingdom Barts Health NHS Trust Full time

Barts Health NHS Trust, one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, provides safe and compassionate care to more than 6,000 patients every single day. To support our group of hospitals, we’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic and highly motivated communications professional to join our team.

As a communications team, we are responsible for promoting and protecting the reputation of the trust. We do this through providing strategic communications support to our executive and hospital management teams, proactive and responsive media and stakeholder relations, engaging social and digital channels, creatively promoting our brand and inspiring internal communications.

The corporate communications executive will work across the team, supporting the development and implementation of trust-wide communications campaigns targeted at staff, patients, the public and our partners. You will deliver impactful and engaging communications, incorporating media relations, public affairs, internal communications, digital communications, and brand and design into your integrated campaigns.

This is a full-time post based in Canary Wharf for a period of 7 months to cover maternity leave.

The corporate communications executive will be responsible for providing high-quality communications support across our busy team. Working across all functions including public affairs, media, digital communications, internal communications and brand, the corporate communications executive will play a key role in planning our work and coordinating the delivery of communications strategies and plans for trust-wide projects and operational day-to-day activities that support the delivery of Barts Health objectives and business decisions.

You will be the first point of contact for people requiring communications support. Providing impeccable customer service, you will work with clients to develop high-quality communications briefs and signpost them to the right support to meet their needs. Reporting into the corporate communications manager, you will manage our forward plan, content plan and design workflow to ensure the communications team runs smoothly, cohesively and professionally. You will also support our hospital and specialist communications officers as required.

The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation. Having lifted ourselves out of special measures, we now have the impetus and breathing space to chart a fresh course in which we are continually striving to improve all our services for patients.

It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which ourWeCarevalues and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.
