**JOB DESCRIPTION **- Enabler/Support Worker
**POST: Support Worker**
**LOCATION: Warkworth**
**JOB PURPOSE**:
I am looking for an enthusiastic, committed Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for 6 hours per week and an additional 2 hours per fortnight.
Hello, I am a 39-year woman with a diagnosis of schizo-affective disorder which can manifest itself in a number of different behavior's including: mood disorders, delusional thinking and paranoia. I live in Warkworth in Northumberland. I am looking for a motivated Support Worker who can support and encourage me with daily living tasks as set out below. If you would like to work in a rewarding role, I would love to hear from you.
**Main Duties**:
- To support me with doing my food shopping; suggesting practical advice and what to eat when my motivation is low and how I could build up to doing basic tasks such as food preparation and meal planning.
- I need support to develop links in my new community and settle in my new home.
- I would also like support to try out new sport and leisure activities to reduce social isolation.
- To support me with maintaining a habitable home environment as having a tidy home helps me keep my thoughts ordered and I feel that I can then focus my time with support on other areas.
- Prompting with medication, it can be difficult for me to take medication regularly and struggle with the logístical element of knowing what medication to take and when.
- I can also need support with dressing appropriately for different weather conditions and social situations.
**Hours**:
- 6 hours per week to be used flexibly and 2 hours per fortnight for support with cleaning.

- Have an outgoing personality.
**Rates of pay**
- £11.91 per hour. 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata)
