Scottoiler is a friendly family run business operating in the motorcycle and bicycle industries manufacturing accessories which are sold all over the world. Highly regarded as the leaders in chain lubrication systems we are looking to recruit a Production Operative to work within our small team at our facility in Milngavie, Glasgow.

Production Operatives are key to our operations. In this hands-on role you will be given full training to allow you to assemble products from across our range and support the general manufacturing effort to help the business meet the sales demand and achieve its targets.

We are seeking someone who is looking to work within a fun and friendly team in an interesting industry working to ISO 9001:2015 Quality and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Standards. Experience working in a production environment would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given. A can-do mindset and good manual dexterity skills are essential.

This role reports directly to the Production Manager with the following duties:

- Assembly of various products and sub-assemblies, strictly following work instructions and processes - requires hands on manual assembly skills
- Operating workshop machinery for which full training will be provided
- Occasional programming of electronic products
- Testing of products and sub-assemblies to functional and quality specifications
- Product packing & quality control
- Computer input of production works orders
- Logistics support & materials handling

**Intrinsic Job Factors**
- Experience in a production/assembly role desirable
- Good manual dexterity and a technical understanding are required to consistently follow work instructions and processes
- The role will require some use of display screen equipment and Microsoft Office work packages
- As we operate in the Motorcycle & Bicycle Industries, an interest in Motorcycles and/or Bicycles would be beneficial but not essential
- Attendance at shows & exhibitions may also be required on occasion

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21.75 - 36.25 per week
