**Role**:Assistant Residential Worker - Nights
**Salary**:£19,600 - £22,600 per annum - Salary would be dependent on experience plus £50 per sleep in
**Location**:Neath Port Talbot
**Contract/Hours**:Permanent, Part-Time - 20 hours per week - averaging 2/3 shifts per week
(Core night shift operational hours are between 9pm until 6:30am with flexibility to work days when required and a minimum 1 weekend off per month)

Park House was developed in partnership between Action for Children and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in 2012 and is a three-bedroom bungalow offering children and teenagers with disabilities short-term, planned residential breaks where the children can explore, make friends, access new opportunities and learn new life skills, all with the help from the staff team. Park House is purpose-built property in the heart of Port Talbot community close to beautiful Aberavon beach.
**How you'll help to create brighter futures**
We are now seeking an Assistant Residential Worker to help us maintain the high standards of care and personal development our young people have come to expect. You will achieve this by You will be:
- Taking responsibility for the supervision and personal care routines of the young people during the night.
- Following individual personal plans to help the young people achieve their full potential and enjoy their stay
- Supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Being responsible for the safeguarding of young people.
- Undertaking medication checks during the night
- Responsible for paper and digital record keeping.
- Attend regular team meetings and training days (paid in addition to the salary)

Our job description for the Assistant Residential Worker outlines the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves' are:
- Experience of working with children or young people.
- Level 3 QCF in Social Care or happy to work toward this after your probation
- Registration or willingness to register with Social Care Wales (which we will support you with).
- Be flexible to work across a 24/7 rota (rotas are given 5-6 weeks in advance)
