**JOB TITLE**
- Finance Executive

**LINE MANAGER**
- Reporting to Finance Director

**OVERALL JOB PURPOSE**
- Maintain the company’s Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger.
- Responsible for Sales Invoicing, Credit Control and Customer Statements
- Responsible for Customer Account Setup and General Customer Communications related to Finance.
- Responsible for managing Supplier Invoices and Communications
- Maintain and update the accuracy and quality of customer and supplier information in company systems and databases.
- Help to maintain robust controls and processes for ensuring an accurate and up to date Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Credit Control, with a view to maintaining Debtor Days performance.
- Management of Customer Receipts Account, including Daily Bank Reconciliations.
- Daily invoicing, including review of invoices and credit notes for accuracy and completeness.
- Act as main point of contact for all day to day customer finance queries.
- Daily Maintenance of Customer and Supplier Records and all data on Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
- New Customer Account Setup.
- Help maintain, update and improve the quality, accuracy and completeness of customer/supplier information and setup in Sage Line 50.
- Monthly Customer Statements.
- Identify and move customers for payment by Direct Debit.
- Provide key support to Customer Services Department on customer activity and maintenance of Customer Records.
- Support Customer Services Team in making optimal and efficient use of filters, reports and functions within the accounting system.

**KEY EXTERNAL CONTACTS**
- Customer Contacts, including MD’s, FD’s, Business Owners and Customer Finance Teams.
- Supplier Finance Teams
- Company Banking / Payment Providers.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

As this is an entry level position for applicants with the right competencies, prior experience is not expected but applicant must show a desire and willingness to:

- Engage in technical and numerical work o Work in a dynamic small business finance environment
- Work with IT Systems and Microsoft Software, especially MS Excel
- Obtain an accounting qualification

**QUALIFICATIONS / AMBITIONS**
- Have or Have concrete plans to work towards an AAT or ACCA.
- You will be looking to continue and / or develop a career in Finance.
- The company will provide study support for qualifications.

**KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS**
- Ability to build rapport with team members and external stakeholders

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year
