Trainee Estimator

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Conduct thorough market research to determine current pricing trends and material costs.
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them in relation to project costs.
- Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, including methodologies used and assumptions made.
- Provide support during the bidding process, including preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to clients.
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices related to cost estimation.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, enabling accurate estimation of costs.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and tools is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field would be beneficial but not essential.

Pay: £40,461.00-£44,058.00 per year
