We require an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Assistant to join our busy team.

Duties to include CVD Health Checks, QOF checks, Phlebotomy, ECGs. BP Recording, Dressings and Flu and other vaccinations. Training can be given if needed.

You will also be required to participate in extended access clinic on Mondays (mandatory) till 8pm and sometimes on Saturdays (Optional).

**Responsibilities**:
Annual health checks of patients
Blood Pressure Recording

Urinalysis

Height and Weight measurement

Application of dressings

Vaccinations (flu, shingles, etc)

B12 injections

Diabetic Foot checks

Chaperoning duties

ECG recording ;Phlebotomy

Processing and management of laboratory samples as requested by the GPs.

Vaccine / cold chain storage, monitoring and recording.

Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms

Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations.

Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual.

Helping raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted.

Maintain accurate records (both computerised and hand
- written) at all times

Undertake administrative support as required

Assisting with the collation of data on needs related to health and well-being.

Any ad-hoc task as delegated by the GP Partners, within level of competencies.

Spirometry (desirable)

Qualifications:

- Completion of a healthcare assistant training program or relevant certification is preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
