**JOB OPPORTUNITY**
**FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST**
An opportunity has arisen for two Front Desk Receptionists to join our friendly, highly motivated team. We are a forward thinking, training practice, with a list size of 9500 patients.

- Starting pay rate is £9.50ph and will be reviewed after probation period.
- Hours of Work will be available as below but must be able to work from 8.00am until 6.30pm as required by the hours of the business.
**AM Receptionist (30 hours)**
Monday - 7.45am - 1.00pm
Tuesday - 7.45am - 1.00pm
Wednesday - 7.45am - 1.00pm
Thursday - 7.45am - 1.00pm
Friday - 7.45am - 1.00pm
**PM Receptionist (30 hours)**
Monday - 12.30pm - 6.30pm
Tuesday - 12.30pm - 6.30pm
Wednesday - 12.30pm - 6.30pm
Thursday - 12.30pm - 6.30pm
Friday - 12.30pm - 6.30pm
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
You will be the first point of contact for patients or visitors attending the surgery and will be expected to maintain an efficient, helpful and confidential reception service.
Front Desk
- Welcome and record patients arriving to see the Doctors, Nurses, HCAs
- Log Visitors into the visitors book and issue visiting lanyards ensuring the visitors fire policy has been read.
- Signposting patients to appropriate services
- Giving out letters / blood forms / prescriptions
- Help patients wanting to register, change address or personal details
- Printing sample labels
- Answering patient queries and general enquiries
- Tidying and sanitising the waiting room after each morning, afternoon and evening sessions
- Collecting payments from patients for non-NHS services using the receipt log book and coding payment on patient record
- Franking outgoing post
- Restocking the waiting room stationary
- taking deliveries and notifying the appropriate person or putting away if stock
- putting vaccine stock away upon receipt to maintain the cold chain and notifying the Practice Nurse of any missing or delayed items.
- Ensuring the front desk and back office are fully stocked
- Responding to the needs to the clinical staff during surgery
- Ensuring all TV Screens in waiting rooms are turned on/off at the start and end of each day.
- Checking and logging the vaccine fridge temperature first thing in the morning and last thing at night
- Opening up and locking the clinical rooms weekly for the clinical waste collection.
- 6.30pm security check - checking all windows and fire doors are closed, vaccine fridge is locked, cupboards locked, lights turned off and locking up of the front doors.
- You will be a keyholder for the practice staff entrance after probation period and will expected to participate in the opening up and locking up of the surgery building.
Ad Hoc Work
- CRP Testing
- Dealing with tasks sent via EMIS and Docman
- Stocking consulting rooms on a monthly basis and ad hoc as the clinicians request items
- Assisting with all recall systems e.g. Flu season, Chronic Disease Recallk as needed
- Subject Access Requests
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Senior Receptionist or Management Team.

- Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.
