Would you be interested in expanding and developing your career in Adult Social Care as a member of the new Independence and Advice Hub?
The hub is designed to contribute to improving the outcomes for vulnerable adults across the region through utilising a strength-based approach to maximise our resident's independence and support networks, whilst working in partnership working with other organisations.
The role will involve working collaboratively with professionals from other organisations who may be involved in supporting the vulnerable adult, their family and community.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about adult social care and providing a high-quality service and is keen to develop their professional experience and knowledge.
The successful applicants will play an integral role in fulfilling the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014. The Independence and Advice Hub is committed to helping people to achieve the outcomes that matter to them in their life and the successful applicant will work closely with our safeguarding colleagues to protect an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.

Accountabilities (see person specification and job outline)
- Knowledge of adults’ legislation, professional knowledge on health and social care issues and practical service delivery issues, legislative framework of services and information and governance.
- Understands the needs of people who need care and support and can resolve dissatisfaction.
- Promotes working in a strength based, person centred, outcome focussed way.
At present the post is Monday to Friday on a blended working approach, enabling for hours to be split between agile home working or office based, However the need to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis may be required in the future to support the needs of the service.
