The Role:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will source parts/products, rationalize suppliers and processes, evaluate and negotiate pricing, and produce reports in line with M Barnwell Services objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Sourcing globally, ensuring best market value, whilst considering currency exchange rates
- Rationalise suppliers, maintaining and building on existing databases / methods
- Working closely with the Purchasing and Sales Team to ensure products are correctly sourced in line with technical specifications and acceptable lead times
- Ensure all orders are planned considering shipping and import procedures
- Ensuring stock availability whilst maintaining safety stock levels in line with order book and forecasting
- Developing and maintaining existing documentation, reports and processes
- Monitoring and analysis of spend against budget
- VMI supplier management, on site audits, supplier reviews

As a key member of the team, you will also be given additional ad-hoc tasks allocated by Senior Management.
