**What will you be doing?**
Following the acquisition of Bristol Water by the Pennon Group, we are now looking for a Head of Economic Regulation to help deliver the business plan objectives across the whole of the South West Water remit, including Bristol Water, Bournemouth Water and the Isles of Scilly. This role is key in enabling the delivery of the company vision and ensuring it achieves its purpose.
**Day to day you’ll be**
- Responsible for SWWs regulatory strategy
- Leading the Economic Regulation team, role modelling our values and being a coach, mentor and leader to a talented team.
- Managing economic regulation aspects of consultation responses and price review submissions
- Managing the working relationship with Ofwat as the economic regulator
- Ensuring accurate and reliable regulatory reporting and processes, such as competition and charges, are produced and on time.
- Acting as the point of contact for the business on all strategic and analytical queries relating to the business plan.

What we’re looking for...*
We really need someone who has worked in a regulated utility ideally within the Water industry. Alternatively, if you have worked for a regulator or relevant consultancy the skills would be transferrable.
**Ideally, you’ll also have**
- Experience leading a large team
- Be a graduate in Economics or similar discipline
- Be a confident communicator (both written and verbal) and able to demonstrate influencing senior management and external parties.
