A Special educational needs and Disabilities school (SEND) is looking for a SEN teaching assistant to support students with a range of needs and from different backgrounds. This includes Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD) and behaviouraldifficulties (EBD) as well as Down Syndrome and other needs. The SEND school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant with potential of long term / permanent contracts.

Within this school setting there is a high proportion of students with an autism diagnosis, therefore it is desired that applicants have a good knowledge of autism and has interest in pursuing supporting students with needs. Also, being able to work withchallenging behaviour would be beneficial.

Class sizes are 5-10 students but this can vary depending on age and level of needs. This has been created to help you to generate meaningful relationships and provide the care and attention required. Elements of personal care may be required depending onindividual students.
