An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join Llanwern High school to assist the Director of Business with the day-to-day financial activities. The post is offered as a
32.5 hours per week contract for 41 weeks.
Governors are looking to recruit a Finance Officer who can provide an efficient and effective financial administrative service to the school.
The role includes:
- Monitoring the school’s budget with the Director of Business, assisting with prompt reconciliation of month end accounts and providing monthly budget monitoring and other financial reports
- Managing the effective administration of all financial procedures and computerised financial systems e.g. place orders and maintain relationships with suppliers, processing of orders/invoices, in collaboration with the Director of Business.
- Assist budget holders with details of income, expenditure, budgets and commitments.
- Support with monthly payroll reconciliation and monthly reconciliation downloads as well as other general administrative tasks.
The postholder is expected to support the development within the school of school finance-specific software, and be willing to undertake further training as appropriate.
