Croydon health Services NHS Trust are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to support and co-ordinate/facilitate the Preceptorship Programme across the integrated Trust. You will enable our newly registered nurses to achieve the required learning outcomes and competencies required. The role also plays a pivotal role in supporting a career development pathway and pastoral care for our newly registered nurses which influences retention of staff. The post holder will also be involved with corporate education delivery across the Trust providing educational and skills development for all nursing staff. Join us and be a part of the team that is making Croydon proud - Provide ongoing support to all preceptees across the integrated Trust and to ensure that the role of the preceptee and preceptor is promoted across the multi-professional groups. - To provide educational resources and literature for staff and promote the use of research findings in the clinical areas across the Trust. - To support and develop the role of preceptees “preceptors” in the clinical areas. - To provide educational support to colleagues in the clinical area. - Facilitate own development through regular meetings with line manager and annual appraisal process. - To work alongside the Preceptorship Lead in developing partnership with the Higher Education Institutions and colleagues in other NHS organizations in developing programs that support the Preceptorship Framework. - Communicate effectively at a variety of forums, through use of presentations and discussion to ensure all staff has an understanding of the Preceptorship programme. - Foster an environment which values education as part of the philosophy of the practice area - Actively participate in national and corporate projects in the absence of the Preceptorship lead - The post holder will work in conjunction the Preceptorship Lead to ensure that the Trust Wide Preceptorship Policy is implemented and the programme within the policy is delivered effectively and efficiently, in accordance with the Capital Nurse preceptorship framework.
