Due to ongoing growth and a strong pipeline of future work, we require a number of Ecological Consultants to join our highly respected team in Mold, North Wales.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As an Ecological Consultant, you will be working on a variety of critical projects supporting our clients in the low carbon economy to deliver renewable energy projects, nature-based solutions, biodiversity net gain advice, habitat and peatland restoration and nature conservation solutions.

Your role will include:

- Acting as Project Manager for small/medium ecology projects awarded to the company.
- Provision of ECoW role across a range of construction projects.
- Organising and undertaking ecology surveys and recording to a high technical standard, with specialisms in one or more areas.
- Manage sub-contractors and ensure that deliverables are provided to the standard required.
- Liaise with statutory consultees and maintain good relationships with clients.
- Producing quality factual and technical reporting output, adhering to deadlines.
- Working in a safe, accurate, timely and effective manner.

**Who are we looking for?**:

- Demonstratable experience of the main provisions of legislation and the planning system.
- Demonstratable experience of relevant wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies. Good report-writing skills with attention to technical detail, in both recording and transcribing/checking survey data.
- Excellent communications skill, both verbally and in writing.
- Holding protected species survey licences and membership of CIEEM would be an advantage.
- A willingness to work in remote locations and, at times, staying away from home during the working week.
