**Description and requirements**:

We are looking for a General Foreman to join our Infrastructure team in Newark on Trent. You will be working on the A46 Newark Bypass overseeing the delivery of the various parts of across the project which included but not limited to structures, earth works, compound set up, archaeology works.

**What you'll do**:

- Communicate briefings effectively and efficiently; this includes but is not limited to site inductions, daily site briefings, tool box talks, and safety briefings: covering appropriate health, safety and environmental topics and ensure records of briefings are maintained. These are given to both staff and sub-contractor site personnel.
- Ensure that all works are properly planned and carried out in safe and controlled manner and in a cost-efficient manner. Contributing to the choice of methodology and the programme.
- Coordinate vehicle and plant movements on site ensuring pedestrian segregation.
- Promote a healthy safety culture on site, challenging behaviours and promoting good practice.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials to site and maintain site security.

**What you'll bring to the role**:

- Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS minimum)
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to diverse audiences.
- Understanding of engineering principles.
- Competence with digital tools.
- Construction industry experience
- Previous Highways experience
