Supervisor in Early Learning and Childcare

Nursery Supervisor.
A vacancy has arisen in our Brightons setting for a Nursery Supervisor within our toddler room.
The applicant is required to be qualified to Early Years Practitioner status (SCQF level 7) or equivalent. As this is a supervisor/senior role the applicant will be expected to have leadership experience or strong leadership qualities. They should have an enthusiasm to lead, support and develop themselves and others. We would be looking for someone who is committed, is forward thinking, can work on their initiative and also as part of a team. You will need to be hardworking, motivated, organised and passionate about working with children both indoors and outdoors as well as having a good understanding of child development.
The applicant must have good communication skills with their team, the children and the parents. The applicant must be able to provide accurate records of the children’s learning and development and have the knowledge on how to move that child forward. They must be able to ensure that the children progress through play with challenging and exciting experiences. To provide planning which supports the needs and interests of the children. To work with both the Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure the children are safe and secure and have a sound knowledge of Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
