To enhance the reputation of Sunderland Pharmacy School as a centre of excellence

To support the development of integrated clinical skills provision for General
Pharmaceutical Council accredited programmes to promote collaborative practice in
students towards providing direct patient care.

Faculty Specific:

- Using specialist clinical skills experience, contribute flexibly and creatively to

the enhancement of quality in teaching and learning, the development of
curricula and innovative teaching methods, underpinned and informed by
practice research.
- Working collaboratively within the Faculty and with relevant stakeholders,

take a leading role in the development, delivery and quality assurance of an
integrated clinical skills curriculum, primarily for undergraduate and pre
- registration pharmacy students and postgraduate and continuing workforce
development pharmacists.
- Develop, deliver, support, and monitor teaching and learning in clinical skills

and integration into related areas to include delivering interactive teaching
with simulation, patients and carers, all aspects of clinical skills assessments
(OSCEs) and providing appropriate, timely feedback to students.
- Engage with policy, practice and educational developments to ensure

teaching is linked to wider strategic agendas and targets and ensure that
students are appropriately equipped with contemporary skills, competencies

and knowledge, facilitated and assessed, using appropriate strategies in
accordance with professional requirements.
- Contribute to the research activity of the Faculty by undertaking

(collaborative) research and actively investigating external funding
opportunities
- Contribute to the administration, management and continuing development

of the Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Therapeutics programme portfolio
- Maintain professional experience to inform and enhance developments in the

teaching provision and research activity of the Sunderland Pharmacy School
and participate in promotional activities and external networking.
- Participate in appropriate committee and quality assurance work that affects

the operational management and strategic development of the School of
Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and, the Faculty of Health Sciences
and Wellbeing.
- You may occasionally be asked to perform other duties commensurate with

the level of the role, including representing the Faculty at relevant external
events.

**Academic Practice**
- Design, plan, review and innovate in activities and materials that support

student learning and deliver either across a range of modules or within a
