Finance Bursar

There is an exciting opportunity for an individual to become a senior member of the support staff of this prestigious boarding school. The Finance Bursar is a demanding and key appointment within the Bursar’s Department with wide-ranging financial responsibilitiesincluding management accounts, financial reporting, payroll, budget management and investments. He or she will have a close working relationship with the Governors of the school reporting to them on financial matters. The incumbent must be technically verycapable but also exceptionally well organised, scrupulously honest with excellent attention to detail and highly self-motivated.

The Finance Bursar will have the capacity and attention to detail to not only run the school’s finance office on a day to day basis but will also be able to work at the strategic level with the Bursar, Headmistress and Governors to chart the school’s strategygoing forward. The Finance Bursar will be responsible for the production and briefing of Governors on financial issues including the preparation of financial papers for meetings of Governors.
