**About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services**

A safe home is the solid base from which you build your life. We support people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women and young people.

Accommodation to us doesn’t just mean a roof over your head and shelter from the elements. It needs to be a welcoming and flourishing environment, offering opportunities for all those we support to feel comfortable and develop. **About the Job**

This Support worker position is based in a hostel environment supporting predominately males and couples and females. This is a role for a staff member responsible for delivering a high quality housing management service and support to individuals in a hostel environment. Duties include:

- Responsible for the welfare and safety of residents and the safety and security of the building.
- Responsible for a caseload of clients, providing key working in regards to accommodation and move on options.
- To work collaboratively with the support team with a commitment to efficient and effective service delivery.
- Provide clear and concise handovers to staff ensuring risk information takes priority.
- To work in an inclusive way with individuals.
- Provide support and advice to individuals and signpost to key worker and other professionals for follow up where required.
- Light cleaning duties.
- To respond to welfare needs particularly relating to health.
- To ensure the building is safe and secure at all times carrying out relevant health and safety checks and reporting any issues for follow up.
- Ensuring clients are adhering to their licence agreement and accommodation terms.
