**Role Overview**:
Reporting to the Healthcare Managers the Accounts Assistant is responsible for the preparation of administrative and analysis work for clients of various types and sizes.

The Accounts Assistant’s role will include undertaking work alongside Senior Accountants and Managers to manage client workloads and ensure deadlines are met.

Besides the above skills, the individual will need to have good attention to detail.

A self-starter that is able to solve problems ,use their initiative and work on their own, this person will also have good communication skills and be able to interact with both colleagues and clients

**On Behalf of Our Clients**:

- Completion of bookkeeping in support of other work
- Preparation of detailed income and expenditure analysis work from clients incomplete records
- Preparation of bank reconciliations
- Preparation of detailed wages analysis from clients payroll records
- Preparation of draft tax computations and capital allowance claims
- Completion of administrative work
- Demonstrate commitment to timely completion of jobs
- Demonstrate commitment to the completion of jobs to a high standard of accuracy and efficiency
- Have good organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met

**On Behalf of Our Healthcare Team**:

- Keep our job allocation software up to date
- Dealing with the new client process and ensuring all procedures are followed
- Awareness and maintenance of departmental admin procedures
- Awareness of software packages used in the department, including training where necessary
- Ensure work is completed within the timeframes given by the Managers
- Keep up to date on the stage of completion of work from the team ensuring any problems are addressed in a timely manner
- Ensure our accounting software is kept up to date and complete software roll over procedures
- Ensure our practice management software is kept up to date including timesheet entries and workflow
- Ensure technical knowledge is kept up to date by completing appropriate CPD to ensure continued personal development
- Complete core skills / other training
- Attend and contribute to team meetings
- Understand and provide input into department processes

**On Behalf of Shorts**:

- Share ideas for continual personal and firm development
- Make full use of resources and team members available throughout the firm. Seek assistance where required
- To carry out any other duties as identified to ensure the smooth running of the business.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week
