Our client is an award winning financial services provider, offering an excellent opportunity for a mortgage professional who wants to progress their career into Business Development.

The successful individual will begin a two year training programme to develop the key competencies required to establish and nurture relationships with mortgage brokers across our clients operating area. You will be initially working closely with the intermediarysupport team to better understand the intermediary mortgage market and the product range and lending criteria.

During the second half of the programme the successful applicant will be expected to take ownership of new and existing relationships, helping to promote our clients exciting range of mortgage products to maintain the team’s enviable record of success.

If successful, for the first 9 months the role will take on a hybrid approach with 3 days in the office and the other 2 working remotely. As the role is more established and your knowledge grows, there will be opportunities to visit clients throughout theUK, so being prepared to travel UK wide is a must.

Main duties will include:

- Day-to-day support of the Intermediary Sales Support team to ensure all tasks are completed within agreed timelines.
- Ensure that procedures and SLAs are in place and maintained.
- Ensure that all communication with brokers is compliant.
- Ensure that the Intermediary Sales Support CRM system and call logs are kept up to date.
- Create a positive and proactive sales and service culture that delivers growth in line with the Team objectives.
- Provide management information relating to Intermediary Sales Support activity levels.
- Handle questions and queries and provide 'celebrity service’ in every interaction with mortgage brokers and colleagues.
- To develop relationships with mortgage brokers face-to-face and over the telephone, and actively contribute to the delivery of sales and service targets and other objectives relating to the intermediary mortgage operation.
- A wealth of knowledge and experience within mortgage lending
- Excellent communication skills
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car
