Hospice at Home Health Care Assistants

Location: Near Stroud, Gloucestershire

Contract Salary: Starting at £11.34 per hour to £13.61 per hour (varies dependent on shift)

Weekly Hours: Shifts are 8am -2pm and 5pm -9pm. We have posts ranging between 16 and 36 hours per week.

We’re expanding and looking for committed HCAs to work within the Hospice at Home Team. The role involves providing hands on care and support to patients in their own homes at the end of their lives. The team works in partnership with GPs, district nurses and palliative care teams.

Ideally you have the following skills and experience:

- Experience of patient care in a community/ care home/ hospital setting
- Experience of caring for patients with a range of life-limiting illnesses would be desirable
- Commitment to undertake training as appropriate for the role i.e. basic life support, manual handling, medicines management etc

Longfield is a community hospice charity, in a beautiful setting near Stroud. We believe that everyone touched by a life-limiting illness in Gloucestershire should benefit from free hospice care. We support people to live well after diagnosis through a range of well being services for them and their loved ones and, when the time comes, we provide hospice at home care, enabling them to have the choice of dying in the comfort of their own home.
