Senior Material Supply Delivery Leader

**Job Description Summary**: Reporting to the UK Sourcing Leader - Systems, this is an opportunity to lead the Material Supply Delivery team (Dowty Propellers or Cheltenham Power/Avionics). The role will be leading a team of fulfilment specialists to deliver sustainable supply across all product platforms to multiple Customers and Programs.

Develop and communicate supplier performance and delivery commitments that support the business requirements, working cross functionally within the organisation to solve problems. A track record of leading and building teams in a growth environment is key.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of material delivery leaders in pursuit of business goals, strategies and initiatives
- Drive accountability for operational excellence across the fulfilment organisation
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve processes and service to the organisation. Implement standard work and operating rhythms to ensure that the business performance and service to our customers is optimum. To build and develop the team in support of such goals.
- Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- Engage the business leadership team to develop and execute fulfilment processes that deliver enhanced productivity
- Accountable for metrics to demonstrate and drive individual and team performance
- Work with Supplier Development and Commercial Sourcing teams to build on strategic suppliers
- Understand and drive lean initiatives internally and with suppliers
- Maintain, enhance and drive improvement of supplier on time delivery metrics
- Closely monitor supplier performance to plan and work with suppliers to manage any required recovery plans/actions.
- Alongside lead professional direct reports attract and retain talent. Develop expertise within the function to grow the reputation of Sourcing within the organization.
- Establish improved health reviews with the senior leadership team

**Required Qualifications**:

- This role requires significant experience in Sourcing & Supply Chain Management
- Knowledge level is comparable to a master’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience.
